5 Things Nobody Talks About (Travel Edition)

When we think about travel - especially the kind of soul-nourishing, heart-thumping, wild-woman kind of adventures - we often imagine incredible landscapes, laughter echoing off canyon walls, and the kind of memories you’ll take with you forever. But there are quiet truths tucked between the highlight reel moments that no one really talks about. These are the five things that might just surprise you most when you journey out into the world with a pack on your back and a tribe of epic women at your side.
The hardest part about hiking isn’t the hiking, but fitting everything into your bag

Let’s be honest, packing is like building a flatpack with no instruction manual. Somehow you’re supposed to fit clothes for every type of weather, gear you might only use once, and that book you swear you’ll read under the stars. The hike itself? Challenging, yes—but there’s an undeniable triumph in sitting on your zipped-up, overstuffed pack and declaring victory over space-time compression. Bonus points if you remembered your socks. You know we’re all about those socks, ha!
The logistics can be exhausting

Behind every Instagram-perfect moment is usually a mess of delayed buses, lost luggage, confusing currencies, dodgy Wi-Fi, and trying to figure out how to flush the toilet. Lol! But it’s all part of the story AND when you book a trip with us you don’t have to worry about organising anything other than your bag and transport to and from the meeting point. We take care of all the rest. How good is that!?
How powerful you feel after doing something you were scared of

We all know that fear that creeps into your gut before doing something new or uncomfortable; before the summit, the first paddle stroke, or the leap into cold water. But there’s a certain energy that happens the moment you do the thing anyway. No one may see it, but you feel it ripple through your chest. You did it. Suddenly you haven’t just tried something, you’ve accomplished it. You’ve overcome the fear. You stepped into your power, and that’s something you will never forget.
How adventure makes you feel more yourself than ever before
Stripped of the roles we usually play (mother, partner, boss, caretaker) we meet ourselves again out in the open world. Hair tangled, face sun-kissed, heart open. Out here, there’s space to be a little wild, a little messy, a little more you. And that version? She’s beautiful and brave and exactly who you came to find.
How healing it is to laugh with women around the campfire

There’s something sacred about a circle of women sharing stories under the stars. The kind of laughter that bubbles up between sips of wine from enamel mugs. The kind that stitches old wounds with new friendship. Around the fire, we become storytellers, cheerleaders, truth-tellers. And in those flickering moments, healing happens in the most unexpected, wonderful ways.
We could talk about all the special moments that happen on our trips for days, if not weeks. But really the magic happens when YOU join in on the fun and experience it all for yourself. See what trips we have coming up and become a wild woman!
