Solomon Island Escape
Did you ever dream as a kid of being stranded on a deserted tropical island? With coral reefs, coconut trees lining the beach and a whole island to just for yourself to explore. Well, we are about to make that dream come true! But add an air-conditioned bungalow, delicious meals cooked for you and other adventurous mermaids to share the experience with. Now this is paradise!
We’re heading to the Solomon Islands for a week on our own little private island, where the welcome is as warm as the water. This beautiful island is just a short 5-minute boat ride across to the main island, where the local village is. We will spend time learning about their culture, playing with the children and getting to know their customs and traditions through the stories they share with us.
The island offers incredible coral reefs you can wander straight in from the beach for snorkelling and freediving, waves if you are an experienced surfer, and we have 2 boat trips a day to go further afield exploring. Fishing is also very popular here, so if you are keen to give it a go you might even catch your own lunch!
This island getaway is for you to reconnect with nature, relax, and immerse in the unspoiled charm of the Pacific. Let’s see how long it takes for you to forget what day it is!

A Week of Island Adventures
One of the best parts about island life is going with the flow! Our days will be shaped by the weather, tides and ocean conditions, so rather than following a strict itinerary, we'll take each day as it comes.
Our local crew knows these waters best and will help us make the most of every day, whether that means heading out to explore a beautiful reef, jumping in the boat to discover another island, going fishing, spending time with a local community or simply enjoying a slow afternoon on our private island.
A Typical Day in Paradise
Wake up to the sound of the ocean and start your morning with a gentle yoga session or a swim in the beautiful tropical waters right outside your bungalow.
After breakfast, we'll jump in the boat with our local crew and head off on an adventure! We might explore colourful coral reefs, snorkel in crystal-clear water, discover remote beaches or visit one of the surrounding islands.
We'll return to our island for a delicious lunch and some downtime. Grab a kayak, curl up with a book, have a nap in the shade or spend a little more time exploring the underwater world right off our beach.
In the afternoon, we might head out fishing, visit a local village, try our hand at traditional weaving or jump back in the boat for another snorkelling adventure.
As the sun starts to set, we'll gather back on the island for dinner, stories around the fire and a relaxed evening under the stars.
Of course, no two days will be exactly the same, and that's all part of the adventure!
Snorkelling & Freediving
One of the best things about staying on our private island is having beautiful tropical waters right on our doorstep!
You'll be able to snorkel and explore the underwater world straight off the beach whenever conditions allow. We'll also head out by boat with our local crew to discover some of the incredible reefs and snorkelling spots around the surrounding islands.
Snorkelling equipment is available on the island, but if you have your own mask and snorkel, we recommend bringing them along as they'll probably fit a little better.
Other Activities
There's plenty to keep us busy both on and off the water! Throughout the week, we'll have opportunities to try kayaking, fishing, traditional wooden canoe experiences and an introduction to spearfishing.
We might spend a morning island hopping, discover a secluded beach, explore the surrounding coastline with our local crew or simply enjoy a slow afternoon back on our island.
And if you'd rather skip an activity and spend the afternoon reading in a hammock or swimming off the beach, that's absolutely fine too!
Visiting Local Villages
One of the really special parts of this adventure will be the opportunity to spend time with the local communities who call these islands home.
Guided by our local crew, we'll visit nearby villages, meet local families and learn a little about everyday life in this beautiful part of the world.
Depending on the community and what's happening during our visit, we might get the chance to learn traditional skills such as basket or bamboo weaving, make shell jewellery or hair pieces, or join the local women and kids for a game of volleyball or netball.
These visits are all about genuine cultural exchange, taking the time to connect, learn and experience a little of island life beyond our private island home.
Surfing
The Solomon Islands are home to some incredible, uncrowded surf breaks, and there are 2 waves right out front our bungalows that you can paddle to straight off the shore.
Surfing is an optional activity on this trip best suited to experienced surfers who are confident in reef breaks and changing ocean conditions. The waves can be powerful and conditions will depend on the swell, tides and weather during our trip.
There are a limited number of surfboards available on the island, so if you're a keen surfer, you're welcome to bring your own board.
Please note that this is not a guided surf trip, and we won't have surf instructors travelling with us. Any surfing will be dependent on conditions and your experience level.
