Are you a Wine AND a Yoga lover?! YES?! Then this trip is for you! Join us for a one of a kind get away in one of the most iconic wine regions of Australia: The Hunter Valley. Picture yourself flowing freely in your Yoga Mat, as you witness the most magnificent sun setting upon the vineyards, all of this while you sip a cheeky glass (or two!) of your favorite wine. It sounds like a dream, but it’s not! We believe that Yoga & Wine are made for each other, being the perfect recipe to relax your mind, body and spirit at the same time that you are having a fun time with your girlfriends. So, wine not? Treat yourself to this new approach to wellness and come and sip and flow with us!

  • 3 nights accommodation at the Sovereign Hill Country Lodge (twin share with ensuite).

  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) whilst on the trip. The food will be healthy and fresh, mostly vegetarian and seafood. We can cater to any dietary requirements.

What to bring: 

 

​This is a very relaxing trip, which does not involve much physical activity rather than the daily Yoga sessions (does drinking count as exercise!? :P) so you basically just need to bring warm & comfy clothes that make you feel like home. Here are some ideas:

​

  • Yoga clothes / activewear (pants, sports bra, shirt, sweater…)

  • Warm & Comfortable clothes (joggers, pj’s, cozy socks…)

  • Raincoat, in case it rains

  • 1 nice outfit, if you feel like looking more pretty than you already are on the day we visit the wineries.

  • Books, camera, notebook, paints, musical instruments… anything that you would like to use in your free time.

  • Optional: bring your own Yoga Mat

  • A smile and a healthy liver! ;)

Yoga:

 

All of our yoga classes are perfectly designed so that everyone, from beginner to intermediate to the more advanced, feel safe and welcome to participate. Variations, regressions and progressions will be offered so that everyone gets the most out of their practice :) If this is your first time trying Yoga, this trip is for you! And do not worry about not being ‘fit’ or ‘flexible’ enough, Yoga is not about that. You participate to your own capabilities and just have fun with it! And, trust us when we say that sipping a bit of wine will loosen you up for sure ;) The sooner you realise your body will be flowing in poses that you never even knew were possible!

Accomodation:

 

We will be staying at the beautiful Sovereign Hill Country Lodge, located in the heart of the Hunter Valley, in central New South Wales. The Hunter Valley is one of the most iconic wine regions in Australia and it is just a short 50 minute drive from Newcastle and 2 hour drive from Sydney.

 

The magnificent villa at which we will be living for the duration of 4 days, is perfectly set in front of the vineyards, meaning that all the rooms have scenic views that will delight your eyes (and your cameras!). The villa has 6 rooms with ensuite toilets and 2 Queen beds in each room (twin share). There is a common living area / kitchen for all of us to share together.

 

The lodge also has a magnificent pool overlooking the vineyard, as well as a tennis court that we can use. There is also a yoga room that is available for us in case the weather does not allow us to conduct the Yoga classes outside, which is the goal considering how mesmerising the environment is!

 

Location:

 

We will meet at The Sovereign Hill Country Lodge (also known as Yoga in the Vines if you search in Google Maps), address 370 Talga Rd, Lovedale, NSW 2325. Check-in time is at 2:00 p.m. Ensure to be on time so you don’t miss any of the welcome activities that we have planned out for you!

 

The best way to get here is by car. If you are coming from Newcastle, it will take you 50 minutes driving to get here. If you are driving from Sydney, it’s just a short 2 hour drive. If you don’t have a car and need a lift from either location, especially if you are coming by plane and arriving at one of these main airports, let us know and we will be more than happy to sort out transport for you. :)

 

We will finish in the same location that we started on the 6th of May. Check-out time will be at 10:00 a.m. Same as before, and especially if you are flying, ensure you book your transport in advance or contact us so we can arrange something for you.

Itinerary:


 

DAY 1 – 03/04/2022 - YOGA IN THE VINES

 

  • Welcome to Yoga in the Vines! Your Ultimate Wine & Yoga Experience. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m.

  • After settling into our rooms, we will conduct a Women’s Welcome Circle, where we will run some fun activities to get to know each other on a deeper level. 

  • Let’s break the ice with some Partner Yoga! It’s the best way to bond with your new besties.

  • Little tour of the winery (your new temporary home!), while sipping your first glass of wine.

  • Yummy cheese platter in the beautiful vines and, of course, a lot of VINO!

  • We will finish the day with a relaxing Sunset Wine Yoga session, where your mind and body will flow through a very special Wineyasa sequence.

  • Dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. Wine not pair it up with a glass of red?

  • Good night girls!

 

DAY 2 – 04/04/2022 - IT’S WINE O’CLOCK!

 

  • Wakey Wakey! It’s WINERY TOUR day! Let’s fuel up our bodies with a nourishing brekkie before heading out into what makes the Hunter Valley so special: its incredible vineyards.

  • We will go to not one, but FIVE different vineyards where we will delight our taste buds with a variety of the most iconic wines of the Hunter Valley.

  • Lunch will be served at one of the wineries at approximately 1:00 p.m. (you will find out which one on the day! we all love surprises, don’t we?) 

  • We will continue vineyard hopping until 4:00 / 5:00 p.m. Most accurate to say, we will keep drinking wine until the wineries close!

  • Then, our designated driver will take us back to our cozy home in the vines where we will wrap up the day with a fun Wine Yoga Flow.

  • You will have some time to take a nice warm shower and relax a bit before dinner is served.

  • After all that vino, we will have a well-deserved, indulgent yet healthy dinner that you can pair up with another glass of wine, or water,  or both!

  • Time to give some much-needed rest to our bodies and prepare them for the next day.

DAY 3 – 05/04/2022 - ‘WINE’DING DOWN

 

  • Good morning ladies! Got a bit of a hangover? No worries - we’ve got you covered! Yummy sweet & savory breakfast, tea, coffee and heaps of water!

  • We will be spending the day today at Yoga in the Vines,  taking the time to really settle down into the space with a series of mindful activities. You can stay in your pj’s the whole day if you want! What a life, huh?

  • In the morning Fernanda will run a Journaling & Creative Writing workshop, where you will unleash your creativity in a dynamic and interactive way, as well as learning a series of journaling tools which you will be able to take home and incorporate in your daily lives.

  • A delicious lunch will be served at 1:00 p.m.

  • After lunch, you will have some free time to relax, read a book, write in your new journals, go for a walk in the vineyard, take a siesta… or, if you are feeling like it, wine is always an option!

  • At 4:00 p.m. you will have a nice, calm, restorative Yoga class led by Paula, followed by an immersive Sound Healing Meditation with 7 Chakra Bowls, vocals, drumming, rattle, rain stick, chimes + intention setting, journaling, Oracle Cards and Breathwork.

  • Dinner will be served soon after that, so that you keep the relaxed state in which you left the meditation and have the best rest of your year.

DAY 4 – 06/04/2022 - FAREWELL

 

  • We will begin our last day with a Sunrise Yoga flow in the vines at 6:30 a.m. 

  • Coffee & Brekkie 

  • Closing women’s circle where we will share our thoughts and feelings about the trip, as well as our intentions and goals for the future; creating opportunities for personal growth as well as long-lasting friendships :)

  • Time to pack up and say goodbye… :( Check out at 10:00 a.m.
