Wild Kakadu Adventure

Disconnect from your busy life and immerse yourself in the tropical nature of Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks on this grounding camping adventure. With a focus on mindfullness and re-wilding, we will explore magical waterfalls, hiking trails, and ancient mountain ranges, travelling slowly as a tribe across the landscape.

Trip Highlights:

  • Camp in Kakadu National Park, and explore its stunning waterholes and hiking trails including Motorcar falls, Nawurlandga and Ubirr lookout.

  • Disconnect from your busy life and enjoy no reception as we immerse in nature.

  • Grounding mindfullness and meditation excersises led by our yoga teacher Meg.

  • Enjoy the nature and waterfalls of Litchfield National Park including Buley Rockhole and Florence Falls.

  • Sleep under the brilliant outback stars and enjoy nights chatting and laughing around the campfire.

  • Learn about the local indigenous culture on the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise. 

  • Create life long friendships with like-minded adventurous women.

Information

Included: 

  • 1 night hotel accomodation in Darwin.

  • 5 nights camping.

  • Camping gear: tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag. 

  • Transport around the region in our Wild Women bus.

  • All meals: 6 breakfasts, 6 lunches, 5 dinners; plus lots of yummy snacks.

  • Guluyambi Cultural Cruise.

  • National park passes & campsite fees.

  • 2 accredited local guides.

Fitness: 

 

This is an active trip involving short walks every day. You can expect to walk 3-6km each day as we explore rock holes and waterfalls. The exact hikes we choose to do will depend on the climate on the day, and what regions are open. Bring a sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots as we will be crossing a variety of terrains. 

Swimming: 

 

Kakadu and the top end national parks feature many beautiful waterholes and waterfalls. Some are guarded by not so friendly large lizards.. however there are many waterholes where crocs are removed and they are continually monitored making them safe to swim in.

Starting point:

 

You can fly in to Darwin any time on the 2nd of April or earlier and make your way by taxi or uber to our accomodation. We will meet at about 5pm for introductions and go have dinner together in the city. 

Finish point:

 

This trip will finish in Darwin at 5pm on the final day of the adventure. You will be dropped off at any location of your choice. Your departure flights should not be untill the following day just incase of any delays.

What to Bring:

  • Towel

  • Swimmers

  • Sunscreen

  • Insect repellant

  • Hat

  • Sturdy walking shoes/boots

  • Light summer clothing

  • Jacket (nights can be cool)

  • Camera/ gopro

  • Power bank (power points are limited at most campgrounds)

  • Head torch

  • Day pack (small backpack to use during day times)

Luggage is limited to a small (approx 10kg) duffle bag per person.
